Allie's Cake Smash

Somehow MY baby is one! Somehow she went from a 5lb 14oz little squish to a happy, squeezable, getting close to walking, big girl. And I'm really not sure how to feel about it. Time has definitely gone faster with Allie than it did with Pyper and although I love the sweet relationship Allie and Pyper have, I miss Allie's newborn goodness. It is such a hard time, but it's over way too fast.

One comment we always get about Allie is her hair. Is it red? Is it strawberry? Is it blonde? Good question. The answer is we don't know yet. The hair on top of her head is definitely a gorgeous strawberry blonde. I think it's like a rose gold. But that hair is from birth. Any new growth is blonde. Maybe even as blonde as Pyper's hair. But we really don't know which way it will go. Honestly, I think her rose gold is beautiful and not a color I've seen many times. It compliments her big blue eyes so well. But I do also love Pyper's platinum hair. It'll be interesting to see what happens!

So- for her one year photos I wanted to do something a little different. I wanted a flower crown, but not a flower crown. I wanted to show off her beautiful hair and have a different take on a flower crown. So I contacted Debbie on instagram and told her my vision of a headband made out of mainly greenery. She added the touches of blush and my goodness. Perfection. It was everything I wanted. Thank you Debbie!! Then I didn't want a traditional cake- so I got a bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The sparkler candle is from there as well.

I hope you love these. I sure do love this little girl of mine! I can't wait to see how she grows over the next year!
