My goodness it has been a long time since I've posted! I guess having a newborn will do that to you :)
I am so excited to introduce my sweet little girl, Allie. She is 6 weeks old now so I thought it was about time I get to editing her newborn photos. It turns out working with a nursing baby is pretty rough, but once I got these open on my computer I was reminded why I love photography so much. Here it's been weeks since I took these photos but I can look at them and go back to the day I shot these. I can remember those wrinkly little legs which are more plump now, I can relive that full little froggy belly which has filled out, and that sweet face looks a little older and a bit more round.
Taking photos in my own home was tricky but the memories are precious. They're priceless. This is why I love what I do and I am more ready than ever to get back in the saddle and create these same memories for other families. These little babies change so quickly and capturing these moments is crucial. I know just how foggy a new mom's mind is those first few weeks and how quickly memories and details can fade when you're sleep deprived.
I encourage all new moms and dads to get photos done however you can. If you’re in Santa Barbara or surrounding areas I’d love to be a part of such an important event in your life. It’s an investment that’s truly worth it and you’ll cherish newborn photos forever. I love doing photos in the home- in baby’s environment. I like to capture real life and preserve everyday memories.
That being said- here are a few snapshots from Allie's early days at home <3
